Blockchain Node

A blockchain node is a computer that connects to a specific blockchain network. It plays a crucial role in maintaining the network by validating and relaying transactions, as well as storing a copy of the entire blockchain ledger. Each node on the network has a copy of the blockchain, and they work together to ensure that all transactions are legitimate and consistent across the network.

There are different types of nodes in a blockchain network, such as full nodes, which store a complete copy of the blockchain; miner nodes, which are responsible for validating transactions through a process called mining; and light nodes, which rely on other nodes to verify transactions without storing the entire blockchain themselves.

Nodes communicate with each other through a peer-to-peer network to update the blockchain with new transactions and blocks. By participating as a node in a blockchain network, individuals can contribute to the security and decentralization of the network, making it more resistant to fraud and censorship.
