Cosmos

Cosmos is a decentralized network of independent parallel blockchains, each powered by the Byzantine Fault-Tolerant (BFT) consensus algorithm. The main goal of Cosmos is to create an Internet of Blockchains, where different blockchains can communicate with each other in a secure and efficient manner.

Cosmos uses a hub-and-spoke model, where the main hub blockchain, called the Cosmos Hub, acts as a central point of coordination for the different blockchains in the network. This hub allows for interoperability between different blockchains, enabling them to exchange assets and communicate with each other.

Cosmos uses its native token, ATOM, as the staking and governance token for the network. Holders of ATOM can stake their tokens to help secure the network and earn rewards. In addition, ATOM holders can participate in the governance of the network by voting on proposals and updates to the protocol.

Overall, Cosmos aims to solve the problem of blockchain scalability and interoperability by creating a network of independent blockchains that can communicate with each other in a secure and decentralized manner.
