Data Integrity

Data integrity in cryptocurrency refers to the trustworthiness and accuracy of the data recorded on the blockchain. It ensures that the information stored on the blockchain is valid, secure, and tamper-proof. This integrity is maintained through cryptographic techniques such as digital signatures and hash functions.

Each transaction or piece of data added to the blockchain is verified by multiple participants in the network, ensuring that only valid transactions are included. Once a transaction is added to a block and confirmed by the network, it becomes part of the immutable ledger, making it nearly impossible to alter or falsify.

Any attempts to manipulate the data on the blockchain would be immediately detected by the network, as inconsistencies would be flagged by the protocol. This transparency and security provided by data integrity make blockchain technology a reliable and trustworthy system for recording and transferring assets in the cryptocurrency space.
