In a new development, Bitget has sealed a new partnership deal to become La Liga’s official crypto sponsor. The collaboration news, which broke out at the Token2049 event in Singapore, implied a massive milestone for the exchange as it became its first major entrant into the world of sports.

Sharing the news on its verified X handle, the trading platform remarked: “Bitget is thrilled to announce that we are the official crypto partner of LaLigaEN, spanning across the EASTERN, SEA, and LATAM regions.”

While the exact partnership worth remains unknown, the exchange noted that the collaboration ran into multi-million dollars, with significant benefits for the parties involved. Notedly, the integration aims to achieve improved football fans’ engagement while boosting crypto adoption in the sports sector.

In addition, Bitget mentioned that the partnership tallied with its “Make It Count” belief of achieving excellence via consistency and outright passion. Generally, the collaboration will bolster Bitget’s growing influence as it marks its sixth anniversary this month. On the other hand, it underscores La Liga’s recognition of the role of crypto in driving growth in the sports sector.

What are Top Executives Saying About the Partnership?

Like every other partnership deal, top executives from the firms involved have reacted to the latest development. Speaking on the Bitget and La Liga integration, Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, stated, “Over the last decade, digitalization and innovation have been among La Liga’s priorities. Last season, it became a priority under the umbrella of our New Era, emphasizing technology: we want to be pioneers.”

Similarly, Gracy Chen, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Bitget, stated that the world of sports keeps Advancing, with crypto and blockchain evolving to become part of the evolution. “Partnering with La Liga allows us to accelerate the growth of crypto in sports, bringing new opportunities for fans and athletes alike,” the CEO added.

Meanwhile, in previous news, exchanges have scored collaborations with football clubs. Notedly, Kraken became Atletico Madrid’s official sponsor in July. Interestingly, Gate.io and Inter Milan struck a similar deal in August, underscoring trading platforms’ involvement in sports.
